Module 5: Wealth

“Things happen exactly the way they are supposed to happen and couldn’t have happened any other way than they did happen because if they could have, they would have.”

The Past and Limiting Beliefs
The Past is a circumstance.
It is a fact and it is neutral.
The past includes everything that has happened; what people said and did and all the events that we remember.
The past lives in our memory.
The actual events that occurred are neutral, it’s the way we think about the past that makes is good or bad.
This is the Universal Truth – circumstances are neutral facts.
Facts just are.
Facts can’t hurt us or hold us back.
It is only our judgement about the facts (our thoughts) that give them value as positive or negative.

Memories are thoughts.
We ‘remember’ the past with our judgement.
We can not separate our memory of the past from our judgement about it.
That is why you will hear people say they had a ‘rough’ past or a ‘bad’ childhood or ‘strict’ upbringing.
These are all thoughts (memories) people have used to judge their past.
The Beta Condition are all the thoughts we have about the way the world works from our memories of the past.
We all carry with us unconscious beliefs about the world.
Most of these beliefs are so old and unconscious, we think they are facts about the world.
It is these beliefs that are running our Beta Condition and unconsciously creating all the results we have in our lives.
When we expose the Beta Condition, we discover our unconscious beliefs that are driving unwanted actions.
The truth is everything that has happened in the past is neutral and up for us to decide how we want to think about it.

Most of the time, people don’t know they have control over how they choose to think about the past.
They will think and say, “I want to find the positive in the negative”.
The Beta Condition is strong at work in this statement.
It has convinced people that what happened was ‘bad’ and then you have pull the ‘good’ from it.
It’s erroneous.
The truth is it is neither bad nor good, it is neutral.
This is great news because you can literally think your past was amazing.
Not that it was amazing because you only remember the ‘good’ stuff or that it was amazing because you ‘find the good from the bad’.
You can actually think everything that happened was perfect – because it was.

Watch the video below for a deeper explanation on the truth about the past, how memories work, why we judge our past and how we can judge our past in a way that serves us, examples of what this looks like, and what it means to ‘re-write’ your past.

Self-Study Assignment for Module 5, Day 2

In your notebook, continue to do a thought download every day this week using a circumstance of your choice that you’re struggling with and do an unintentional model from your thought download and an intentional model to determine the result to want.

In your notebook, write two letters to yourself.

Letter #1: Write a letter to your past self.
Write a letter to your past self using the following format.
This is a way for you to uncover any unconscious negative thought patterns and beliefs.
Be willing to really be tough on yourself.
The tougher you are, the more you will discover how your unconscious thoughts about your past are running in your Beta Condition and creating the results you have today.

To {Your Name}
I’m angry because. . .
I’m sad because. . .
I wish. . .
I’m sorry that. . .
I love you because. . .

Letter #2: Write a letter from your future self.
Write a letter from your future self, who’s right where you want to, and you have to give him to give you advice.
This is a look into how you are in control of your results.
Your future self looks at your present self in the past.
When you can see yourself as you are now when you look back, you will understand that where we are is necessary to get where we are going.

To {Your Name}
You’ve come a long way!
You got here when you stopped doing. . .
You also started doing. . .
Finally, you need to continue doing. . .

With this letter, you can (if you want) remove it from your notebook, seal it in an envelope, and tuck it away somewhere to be opened on a specific date.
This is a great tool to do every New Year’s Day – open the letter from last year and write a new letter for next year.
