What is COGNITIVE MASTERY?

Most people (especially men) have no idea how to process their emotions.
Instead, we end up in reaction, avoidance, or resistance.
Reacting to an emotion is displaying the emotion. Like crying when you’re sad, yelling when you’re mad, or hiding when you’re afraid.
Resisting an emotion is holding it in, trying not to feel it. This is what most men have been taught is ‘manly’. Of course, this leads to emotional desensitization and stress-related problems. When we resist an emotion, anxiety is created. Anxiety and stress are emotional derivatives – they are created only when we resist feeling an emotion.
Avoiding an emotion is turning to an external thing to make us feel better. This activity is called buffering or escaping. Like when we don’t want to feel fear with women (fear of failure or rejection), we use alcohol to avoid feeling the fear – we call this ‘liquid courage’.
All of these behaviors with emotion prevent you from FEELING your emotions, which is what you have to do in order to take MASSIVE ACTION from emotion.
The first step in emotional ownership is to stop reacting to, avoiding, or resisting emotion.
The second step is to learn how to PROCESS the chemical reaction we call a feeling, created when our emotions enter the cells of our body.
The third step is to NAME the emotion.

The second call gets deeper into The Model and how you can use it to solve ANY problem. The Model is the primary cognitive mastery tool and once you know how to use it, you will have all you need to practice the skill-set of cognitive mastery and emotional ownership. A belief is a thought we have had over and over again until we mistake it for a fact. A personal truth is a belief we have that feels like a fact. The problem is when we believe things that don’t serve us (limiting beliefs) and we think they are facts so there’s nothing we can do to change them! In this call you will learn how to separate facts from thoughts and choose to think the thoughts that you want to believe to get the results you desire. The call ends with the explanation of exactly what self-confidence is and how to achieve it – and the definition might surprise you! How does the Cognitive Mastery Course Work?
The Cognitive Mastery Course is 6-weeks and works like this:
Each month a new class of 5 begins; you and 4 other people will go through the program together (although you might never meet anyone else in your class).
Each week you will have two Zoom calls with me; a group webinar call where I teach a concept (like a lecture in college) and a coaching call that is one-on-one with me to go over the worksheets and lesson from the group call.

The group call is on Monday (time will vary to accommodate all students and a recording of the call will be made available).
The private call is on either Wednesday or Thursday at a time that fits our schedule.
The group call is 60 minutes in duration.
The private call is 45 minutes in duration.
During the week you will receive self-study worksheets that we will review during the private call.
You will also have self-study assignments that occur daily to help you make the cognitive shift.
We will coordinate via a Slack Channel, where everything is centrally located (video recording, worksheets, access to me with questions, etc.)
